National "C" Coaching License

USSF National "C" Course


The National "C" License course is designed to introduce concepts that are targeted toward coaching players ages 15-18. The course focus is on getting coaches to think about, discuss, and recognize the recurring concepts or themes that exist in soccer. Candidates will be challenged to find ways to offer constructive guidance to players while also allowing players to experience the game for themselves

Registration Fee: $975.00 (deposit of $275.00 due at time of application and balance due on on before June 1)

Candidate Eligibility: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have held the National "D" License for a minimum of 12 months (attach a copy to application). As of January 2015, coaches who hold diplomas or certificates from other organizations, like AYSO and the NSCAA, will not be provided entry point into the U.S. Soccer pathway. All candidates must have a U.S. Soccer National D license or a waiver letter to be eligible to take the course. If a candidate supplies a waiver letter, that letter must be sent to U.S. Soccer for approval. Candidates are not confirmed for the course until U.S. Soccer has signed off on their waiver letter.

**** As of January 2015, coaches must hold a National D License for a minimum of 12-months or hold an approved waiver by U.S. Soccer to register for a C course; no other waivers will be accepted


Course Information: All candidates are required to complete pre-course assignments. Pre-course work can take upwards to 20+ hours to complete. A full description of the assignments, expectations, and procedural guidelines will be emailed out approximately 3-4 weeks prior to the start of the course.We strongly recommend that candidates come in good physical condition to meet the demands of the course. Candidates will spend approximately three to five hours on the field each day.

National Youth Coaching Course

National Youth Coaching Course

Hosted by Maryland State Youth Soccer Association

July 17 – 19 & July 24 – 26

 

This is a national course conducted jointly by U. S. Youth Soccer and Maryland State Youth Soccer Association. The main emphasis of the course is based on the unique characteristics of the growing child from a physical, psychosocial, cognitive, and motor skill acquisition perspective and developmentally appropriate activities for them. Detailed analysis of the modern methods of coaching players U6 through U12 is provided together with invaluable feedback from practice coaching.

Where: Frederick, MD

When:  July 17th (5:30 – 9 pm), July 18 & 19 (9 am – 6 pm), July 24th (5:30 -9 pm), July 25 & 26 (9 am – 6 pm)

Cost:

  1. Tuition - $700 (includes a non-refundable deposit of $150)
  2. Early Registration - $650, if paid in full by May 15, 2015
  3. May be paid by check, if a credit card is used, the full fee will be charged.  
  4. The full balance is due June 17, 2015.  
  5. This is a non-residential course. Housing and meals are not included.

 

Application: The application, deposit and two photos should be mailed to the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association.

Late Applications: may be accepted until the course is full; they will require a cashiers check, money order or credit card.

Attendance: A coach must attend the full course and pass the exams.

 

 Pre-requisite: A "D" license or higher is required to attend the National Youth License Course. Coaches who do not meet that requirement may apply for a waiver with the MSYSA Technical Director. Waivers may be granted to individuals who work with U-6 thru U-12 players in a leadership or administrative capacity at their club or league. In the "Waiver Request" section below, provide information about your experience and reason for requesting a waiver.
