A tournament team is a team that is registered by MSYSA for the sole purpose of participating in tournament(s). Players from several different teams can be registered on a tournament team while keeping their primary player status on their travel league team.
- If a player is not found in the 2013-2014 system, the player must register with MSYSA as an Out of State Player or a Non-Rostered Guest Player, whichever is applicable. A $12 registration fee is charged at this time. Upon completion of this registration, the player will be registered in the system and can be added to the tournament team. You will need the system generated RM Player ID to add any player to your tournament roster. That is given to you after the player has been successfully registered in the system.
NOTE: It is REQUIRED for all head coaches to have, at minimum, an E License. Contact the MSYSA Director of Coaching, should your coach have any questions: firstname.lastname@example.org
- NOTE: As of January 1, 2010, all coaches/managers in the every club have background checks. This is why all coaches, even recreational, are REQUIRED to register in the system. The background check is done separately through the club, but the results are recorded in our system by your club’s Risk Manager Contact. You will need to contact your club directly to find out what company they have chosen to go with to complete your background check.
The tournament team module should be used by:
1.) Currently rostered MSYSA travel team that wants to add a Non-Rostered guest player to their roster
2.) MSYSA affiliated recreational team that wants to participate in carded tournaments (If you are unsure of your status, please contact your club or the state office PRIOR to completing your registration. Failure to complete registration correctly could result in having to duplicate the registration process which includes the printing of new cards)
3.)Teams who want to create a tournament roster but are not currently affiliated with an MSYSA club
If you are currently a sit-out team, please contact the state office at 410.768.5401 prior to the tournament team registration.
