New E License
U.S. Soccer’s unveiling of the new coaching “E” curriculum will take place as of January 1st 2012. The curriculum is designed to improve development of players in the United States, concentrating on creating more organized, age-appropriate training sessions, developing coaching practices and creating an environment that is fun for the players. The E course will become a license instead of a certificate based on the new curriculum. For more information "Click here".
New D License
As part of US Soccer’s upgraded professional coaching pathway the "D" License has undergone changes in curriculum and formatting of the course. The new “D” License course will start in the summer of 2013. Coaches will be required to prepare a set of pre-determined training sessions piror to the first weekend. After completing the first weekend of the course coaches will then have the opportunity to practice what they have learned with their club team and players. Coaches will be required to wait a minimum of one playing season before enrolling in the second weekend of the course called the Performance Review.

US Soccer will be holding a Youth Coaching Seminar at RFK on June 1st from 10am to 12pm.
The seminar is designed to educate parents and volunteer youth coaches about Zone 1 (ages 5-12) player development based on U.S. Soccer’s Curriculum. It will be led by U.S. Soccer Director of Coaching Dave Chesler and Positive Coaching Alliance Instructor Joe Scally. It’s a good opportunity for entry-level coaches and parents to hear U.S. Soccer’s positions on the types of environments we want coaches to provide to Zone 1 players. (Click here for Flyer)
