ODP Tryout Schedules are POSTED 10/22/12
All tryout dates and locations are subject to change

Boys and Girls schedules are posted on the left sidebar.  All tryout dates, times and locations are subject to change.  All changes will be posted on the appropriate schedule.

The Maryland ODP uses the calendar year for team formation.  Players will tryout in their birth year group.  Playing on a club team that has mixed birth years has no impact on the ODP process.   Age groups for the 2012-13 ODP season are 2000 (U13), 1999 (U14), 1998 (U15), 1997(U16) and 1996 (U17).  Players born in 2001 or 2002 MUST tryout for Maryland ODP Project 100+ (U12) in October.  Visit the Project 100+ webpage for more information.

Important ODP Tryout Information
2012-13 season

ODP tryouts are scheduled for December 1-9, 2012. Tryout schedules are posted on the left sidebar.

Maryland ODP teams are formed using BIRTHYEAR. Tryouts will be held December 1-9, 2012 for the following age groups: 1996 (U17), 1997 (U16), 1998 (U15), 1999 (U14), 2000 (U13).  Players born in 2001 and 2002 (U12) must register for Maryland ODP Project 100+ tryouts.

Players must attend at least one tryout session to be eligible for placement on a Maryland state ODP team roster. Players may attend more than one tryout (for their age group and gender) if they choose. If a player is unable to attend any of the posted tryout sessions (available on the left sidebar) they must register for tryouts and then notify the state office in writing (programs@msysa.org) to receive a callback tryout in March/April, 2013.

Online registration for the Maryland ODP tryouts is OPEN.   Click here to register.

ODP Tryout Preparation
Cold weather clothing

Because Maryland ODP tryouts are held in December and cold weather is expected, all players (and parents) should dress appropriately.  Also, arrive early enough to check in at the registration table and to warm up properly.

The ODP tryout t-shirt must be visible at all times to ensure proper evaluation by our coaches.  Attempting to wear the tryout shirt over multiple sweatshirts and training tops isn’t always the most "comfortable" idea.  We want all players to be focused on the ball, their teammates and their opponents, not on how uncomfortable they feel while playing.  Please read the recommendations below to ensure you are properly prepared, comfortable and safe for ODP tryouts.
