The Maryland State Cup is the first phase in the United States Youth Soccer National Championship Series. The Maryland State Cup is an open competition at the highest level of the United States Youth Soccer Association. State cup champions advance to the regional championships with regional champions advancing to the United States Youth Soccer National Competition.
Teams must submit the following for consideration to the 2013-2014 Maryland State Cup -
Teams must submit three checks made payable to MSYSA:
- · Application Fee: $500
- · Quarter Finals Fee: $475
Quarter Final Checks will be cashed for the teams that will be advancing. Teams that do not advance to the quarter finals rounds will have their un-cashed checks returned to them with their bond checks per below.
Bond Checks will be returned:
1.) No sooner than August 1, 2014 and
2.) Upon team’s compliance with all rules and policies of the National Championship Series
Referee fees are not included in the game fee and must be paid in cash at the beginning of each match.
Teams can register for either State Cup or Presidents Cup; however, they cannot register for both competitions. Please check the State Cup rules for additional information.
Teams applying to State Cup are agreeing to participate throughout the entire series of the event should their team continue to advance. State winners are required to go to Regionals with regional winners participating in Nationals. If your team is not prepared to play the published Cup schedule throughout its entirety, you should not enter. Bond checks will be cashed for forfeitures and all fines imposed upon MSYSA will be passed on to the team/club.
