The Maryland State Youth Soccer Association is proud to offer an opportunity for players born in 2002 or 2003 to participate in the Maryland State ODP. The U12 portion of the Maryland State ODP identifies and trains the top 100 male and female U12 players from across the state of Maryland. The Maryland State ODP U12 was formally called "Project 100+". The name changed to bring the program more in line with the Maryland State ODP. Except for the name change, the program remains the same.
Boys and girls born in 2002 or 2003 who have a strong soccer background and are looking for a unique training environment to supplement their club schedule are eligible to tryout. Players must be a Maryland resident and a registered MSYSA player.
Tryouts for the 2013-2014 season will be held on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Garrison Forest School.
Online registration is now closed. At this point, only walk-up registration is possible. Any player that would like to attend tryouts as a walk-up must arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled tryout block (tryout blocks are listed below) and must provide proof of age and pay $60 (cash, check or money order only):
Saturday, October 26, 2013: 9-11am, 11-1pm, 1-3pm, 3-5pm
Sunday, October 27, 2013: 9-11am, 11-1pm
Maryland State ODP (U12) players will receive 6 training sessions from professional coaches. They will participate in an inter-regional U12 ODP playday, will be encouraged to attend the Region I Development Camp in June/July 2014 and will receive an adidas uniform kit. More information pertaining to the U12 Region I Development Camp will be posted as soon as it becomes available. Training sessions will be held at various training locations throughout the state of Maryland in April, May and June 2014.
