MSYSA Regional Training Program
“RTP”
The MSYSA Regional Training Program has been designed to provide additional technical and tactical training for recreational and travel players interested in improving their soccer skills. U9-U14 players are eligible to participate. Under the direction of Bill Stara, MSYSA Director of Soccer Development, the RTP will provide all players the opportunity to develop to their maximum potential.
A uniform training syllabus has been developed for all age groups to promote consistent development throughout the program. Program activities have been designed to encourage a defined development progression.
The program is available to boys and girls in every
MSYSA Regional District. RTP age groups are U9 through U14. Training groups will consist of 16-18 players and sessions will be conducted by USSF licensed coaches. The program will begin March 22 with the RTP Identification Day where coaches will identify and separate players into training groups based on age and ability. Training will continue on the dates listed below. Players will have 8 training sessions on Monday nights.
The RTP pre-registration fee (due no later than March 1, 2010) is $90 for MSYSA registered players and $100 for non-MSYSA players. Visit the RTP Registration webpage to download a pre-registration form and the RTP Fees webpage for additional information.
